Create 4 value scales in your sketchbook (standard shading, smudging, hatching or cross hatching , and free choice...but I recommend stippling). This assignment will be due on Monday May 9th, 2016.
Below are the videos that were used in the class.
Have fun, and happy shading!
Learning how to draw realistically starts with mastering the technique of perspective. Perspective is used to show dimension through a flat or two-dimensional surface. There are many forms of perspective drawing, but we will be focusing on two-point perspective.
A drawing has two-point perspective when it contains two vanishing points on the horizon line. Check out the videos below to explain how this works!
Students will research and re-create a work of art done by an artist of their choice. This assignment will be completed in their sketchbook in ball point pen. Be sure to list your artist's name as well as the name of the work in your sketchbook. This assignment will be due on Monday August 10th!
By recreating an artist's work, you will not only gain an appreciation for someone else's art...but also there is so much to be learned from trying to mimic someone's artistic style.
Have fun, and happy drawing!
