My name is Bryan Allyn, and I am the visual arts teacher at Holly Grove Middle School in Holly Springs, NC. I am originally from Upstate New York and relocated to North Carolina about ten years ago to fulfill my lifelong dream of being an art teacher. I currently live in Apex with my wife, my son, and my three dogs.
My passion for art began in elementary school. When I was in the fourth grade, I received the book "How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way" by Stan Lee and a box of fine tip markers for my birthday. I would sit at the dining room table for hours drawing faces, superheroes, and just about anything I could think of. I was amazed that with a little bit of imagination and a pencil that I could create an entire universe of my own.
